Tapas Sarkar, born 1955, attended New Barackpore Boy's High School, Kolkata and graduated from Acharya Prafulla Chandra College, Kolkata in 1974. He joined the Customs & Central Excise Department in 1976 as Inspector at Agartala, Tripura. He has been posted at Tezpur, Shillong, Guawahti, and Kolkata up to 2001. In 2002, on promotion as Assistant Commissioner, he joined at Ahmedabad. He further served at Pune, Mumbai, Sangli and Kolhapur until voluntary retirement in 2011.

Homer Mathew was born in Kerala and brought up in Gujarat. He studied in a Hindi medium school run by Rajasthan Seva Samiti, Ahmedabad. He graduated from Gujarat University in 1982 in the Commerce stream. He joined the Department of Customs and Central Excise in 1985. At present he is a Superintendent of Central Excise and Customs. He knows six languages including Hindi and Gujarati.

Shree Kamlesh Tiwari joined the Indian Revenue Service in 1971 and superannuated in 2007. At an early age Kamlesh to play the flute under the tutelage of Pandit Bholanath ji of Allahabad and his famous disciple Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia. Kamlesh was accepted as Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia's disciple after a stern test in 1972. During his service years Kamlesh got several opportunities to perform at official and informal functions.
