Professor V. N. K. Kumar is 82 years old. He believes that in his previous incarnation before retirement (or so it seems now), Prof Kumar was a chartered Mechanical Engineer and graduated from IIM, Ahmedabad.

Prof. Kumar has worked in Industries like TATA Engineering and Locomotive Co., SAIL and CUMI as Training manager. He has taught in institutes like Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi as a professor of management.

Prof. Kumar has two sons and three grandchildren. He is presently living in Mysore with his wife.

Jatinder Sethi was born in Lyallpur, now Faisalabad, in pre-Independence India. He finished his M.A. (English) from Delhi University in 1956, and went off to London to study Advertising in 1958. He passed his Membership Exam of The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (M.I.P.A) in1965, and joined Rallis India in Bombay. Later, for over 20 years, he worked for the advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather. Now retired, he helps his son in his ad agency in Delhi.

Baljit Ahluwalia is a veteran trainer with over 25 years of experience with the Indian Air Force and the corporate world. Leadership and management were his transfer skills with the Air Force middle level and senior level officers. He continued to train the senior officers in similar skills in the corporate world as well. But the context was especially designed to the ‘felt' needs of the private sector. As a motivator Baljit honed the personality traits of the participants with the theoretical aspects woven into their application at work place.

Baljit is a pioneer of training in BPO/KPO industry, having published several papers and case studies which are used widely. He relates to his trainees easily and addresses his audience at their threshold level. Baljit is a popular speaker and a panelist in discussion forums.

Piyali Kanabar is into several fields related to education. She is a teacher straight from the heart, having served Bhavan's Bhagwandas Purohit Vidya Mandir as a teacher for over two decades. She’s also a corporate trainer and presently runs an institute in Nagpur catering to soft skills training and personality grooming called 'So What? A Center For Counseling and Professional Perfection'.

Piyali serves as a Cambridge Council examiner of BEC and trains students, professionals and housewives in spoken English. She also trains students for examinations like the IELTS, GRE, GMAT, PTE, SAT, TOEFL and CAT.

Piyali undertakes behavioural counseling and guidance. She is a member of the Nagpur Toastmasters Club at the Gold level and a member of India Peace Centre. She is involved with Seva kitchen, serving free homemade food to caretakers of patients.

Rakshat Hooja lives in Jaipur. In his late thirties, he is still trying to figure out what to do in life. Currently, he is working on a project to set up a community college in Jaipur. He loves watching sports and reading and discussing about politics.

Thus, he was educated in various cities of Punjab and finally graduated from Government College, Rohtak in 1953. He did his Bachelors in Teaching from Vaish College, Rohtak and his Masters in English from Aligarh Muslim University. He retired as Vice Principal of a senior secondary school in Delhi in 1993 and continues to live in Delhi.

Kavita Batheja holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry and has served as assistant professor of Chemistry in various private higher education institutions. She is passionate about teaching, writing and the environment, especially on issues related to groundwater — its contamination, scarcity and misuse. Presently on a break from her teaching career due to family responsibilities, she likes to write in her leisure time.

Melven Castelino, a product of St Xavier’s Jaipur, is a multi-faceted personality. An English teacher by vocation at his Alma Mater, Melven is heavily into photography, calligraphy, sketching and making short documentaries. He enjoys posting YouTube videos. An approved All India Radio announcer, he enjoys anchoring radio shows and Rajasthan Tourism events.

Melven is also an avid blogger, besides being active on Instagram and Facebook. He is an inspirational leader for creative arts for his students. He is the writer and a composer of the school song for St. Xavier’s School, Nevta campus. And to top it all, he runs his own Rock Band fittingly named, COOL BOYZ.
